A year ago I started this blog but within a few months I gave it up. To be honest I was finding it hard to juggle my time between two jobs, running my own business and trying to have a social life. Writing a blog takes a lot of effort and time, and so here I am now with a beautiful baby writing again. I have never been as busy in my life but I have made the decision to give this "blogging" another go as I just love doing it, and feel that I have a lot more to share now I have became a mother. For me blogging is my outlet, I am not the best writer, I do not want to be famous and I don't want free things, I just love doing it and so I'm going to give it another go... So if you too have a love for Beauty, Fashion, Food and Babies please give my blog a follow Sallyxo

As I wandered into Semichem one lunch break I couldn't believe my eyes when I seen their W7 stand. The packing stood out a mile as it looks very similar to Benefit, but the prices most certainly are not. I used a bronzer from W7 many years ago and loved it at the time, but since then I haven't tried any of their range. Absolute LashesThe first thing that stood out to me was their Absolute Lashes mascara. The packing is almost identical to the They're Real mascara from Benefit, but at a fraction of the price. Absolute Lashes costs £6.95 were as They're Real mascara costs £19.50. The wand on the Absolute Lashes mascara is rubber with fine soft spikes, which helps it to comb through each lash beautifully. W7 claim that this is a volume and lengthening mascara but in my opinion it doesn't give much volume but a lot of length. This mascara comes in the colour blackest black and leaves your lashes looking natural dark and long. It hasn't clumped or smudged on me which can be very common in budget mascaras, but it can look a tiny bit flaky on the wand (only on the wand not when applied). To get the best effects of this mascara I recommend curling your lashes before hand and applying two layers. Overall this is a fab mascara for every day and is quickly becoming one of my favourite. Honolulu BronzerThis amazing bronzer is said to be the dupe for Benefits "Holla" bronzer and is definitely giving them a run for their money. At first glance it looks quite dark but with a light hand and a good brush this bronzer goes on even and airbrushed. It does come with a brush as does "Holla" from benefit, but having both I have to say benefit wins hands down in regards to the brush . The W7 brush doesn't seem to pick up the product, it just falls off due to the cheap bristles. This bronzer is matt and works great for contouring your cheeks, nose and collar bone. It costs £5.95 compared to Benefits Holla £29.38. Candy BlushThis gorgeous blush is in the colour "Gossip", which is a tawny peachy colour. Its not too pink or too orange and works perfectly for all skin tones. The texture is lovely and creamy and goes on so soft. I don't think this product is a dupe for anything but is brilliant in its own right. This blush costs £5.09 and comes in a range of shades to suit everyone's tastes. Overall I am super impressed with W7 not only is the packaging fab but the products don't disappoint. Semichem didn't have a huge range in store but after having a nosey on the W7 website I can see that they have a huge range of products so will definitely be making a sneaky purchase soon. Ok, so I am in a relationship and have been for the past 7 years, and what do you do when your in a relationship?? Eat, eat, eat and eat some more. So in this blog post I am going to share with you some of my favourite and not so favourite places to wine and dine. I will eat almost anything so here it goes (Yes I have eaten snails and frog legs before & I have to say they were nice). Fitzpatrick's Bar & RestaurantSteak with sweet potato fries, crispy onions and pepper sauce has to be one of my favourite meals of all time. (the bloodier the better, not for everyone I know but if you can get past the ugghh blood stage, you will love it, I promise). I have ordered steak in loads and loads of restaurants but my all time favourite has to be Fitzpatrick's in Dundalk. Fitzpatrick's is the quirkiest restaurant I have ever been too, from an actual bed of flowers outside to hundreds of antique items inside. The staff are always so friendly and welcoming. If you don't like a busy restaurant and having to wait I suggest you visit on a week night, as at the weekends they are mental busy. I have been to Fitzpatrick's numerous times and have always enjoyed the food, from their chicken wings to their seafood specials, it is all to die for. The food it all locally produced and the portions are big (I ordered chicken wings for starter and they gave me 15 wings, so defiantly worth every penny). I would say Fitzpatrick's is in the middle price bracket (definitely not cheap but not omg don't look at the prices). Another big bonus about Fitzpatrick's is that it is the only restaurant that I know of, that when you order a cocktail they give you the cocktail and the extra bit left in the blender (so its basically 2 for the price of 1). The not so good... There is nothing worse than looking forward to a lovely meal all evening (some times all week) and when you get it being horribly disappointed. I have been to Made in Belfast on Wellington Street in Belfast a few times and defiantly wont be going back. On my first visit I had lunch (fish and chips) which was ok nothing to scream and shout about, but on my second visit I ordered steak and hated it. I always ask for my steak to be cooked medium to rare, and when it came out well done I was fuming. The sauce wasn't nice either and in my opinion was a waste of money. I didn't complain as I was starving and didn't want to wait any longer (and because I hate complaining but I am learning too). I thought I would give them another chance, so a few Tuesdays ago me and my friend went to a empty restaurant around 5pm. I love a window seat and when I asked for one, I was told no as they are only for three people or more. The place was empty and unless they were expecting a mad rush on a Tuesday evening I don't see any reason why we couldn't sit there. The waitress showed us to a tiny table and with one look at the menu we decided to leave. There is nothing worse than poor customer service and with the reminders of the bad steak the last time we decided to go somewhere else. I know some people may love this place, but in my eyes I have never had a good experience. The cocktails are good and the décor is fab, but not that fab to make me ever want to go back. I have eaten in so many places over the years and to go into detail about them all would take me for ever, so here is a run down of the good, the bad and the ugly...

Everyone has a perfume they absolutely adore, and when it comes to Christmas and birthdays they are definitely on the gift list. For me its Lancôme's La Vie est belle. I just love it. I love that when I wear it, at least one person will say, what's that lovely smell? Is that you? When it comes to La vie est belle I'm like a sniffer dog, I can smell it straight away when someone walks past wearing it.
La vie est belle (meaning life is beautiful) is a floral scent and contains concretes of Iris Pallida, Jasmine Sambac, Orange Blossom and Patchouli Essence. They say you should spray perfume in the warm areas of your body, The inside of your wrists, below your earlobes and behind your knees. (and not all over your clothes, which I have to admit I do do) To expensive for work
Even know I love this perfume so much, there is no way I'm buying it for myself, its just so expensive, 50ml will set you back £64.00. (the reason its always on the gift list). And when a perfume costs this much I begrudge wearing it to work. Sooooo... I have a solution, and one your all going to love.
World-Class Fragrances
www.world-class.co.uk is a website which provides its customers with "exceptional perfumery at affordable prices". Their perfumes are all dupes for our much loved but expensive brands. They have been going since 1975 and the reason why you probably haven't heard of them before is because they don't advertise which helps to keep costs down.
The perfume pictured above (I AM I FEEL) is the dupe for La vie est belle. And I do have to say it is very close in smell. Obviously it doesn't linger as long as the real thing but for £5.00 for 50ml you cant go wrong. I wear I AM I FEEL to work every day and so can keep my good perfume for special occasions. When perfume costs £5.00 you don't mind keeping it in your bag and spraying it though out the day. They also have dupes for Daisy by Marc Jacob, CK One and Angle by Thierry Mugler and much much more. So if your like me and don't like wasting your good perfume, get on to this site, I promise you will love it! I hope you enjoyed reading Sally x

Matte Liquid lipsticks have really taken off and we all know why. KYLIE JENNER. Love her or hate her, you have to commend her ability to turn all that negative media surrounding her lips into $$$. Kylie Lip Kits are everywhere. Everyone has one and if you don't, you know you want one. Why?? Because we are all suckers for media hype. The question is are they worth the money?? Not only do you pay for the lip kits themselves ($29.00/£23.00) but you also pay delivery and custom charges too. Okay so the verdict is... They are amazing and definitely worth every penny. The pigment is something else and the staying power is out of this world. (survived a mountain of cups of tea, breakfast, lunch and a chicken chip kebab). There is a fab range of colours available and my favourite have to be Mary Jo, Koko and Kourt. Koko Kourt Mary Jo Now for some even better news...If you don't feel like splashing lets face it a lot of money on a matt liquid lipstick, you don't have to. MUA have one of thee best ranges I have seen (Velvet lip lacquers). They are available in Superdrug and only cost an amazing £3.00. They come in a fab range of colours, ranging from your classic nudes right up to your crazy brights. I have been wearing these for a long time now and when I do I always get complements on the colours. The staying power is brilliant, nearly just as long as the kylie lip kits. My Favourite colours are Tranquilly, Moxie and Vivacity. Vivacity Tranquillity Moxie If I had to choose, I would choose...If I had to choose (gun to my head kind of situation) I would choose MUA Velvet lip lacquers as my favourite for a few reasons...
1, Hello, the price. 2, The fact you don't have to wait for delivery you can just run into your local Superdrug and pick them up and 3, the staying power is truly fabulous. I hope you enjoyed reading Sally x |
